Orchard

Image
Hey everybody,      This week was really good!      -Saturday we did a big service project for a family our Zone leaders just Baptized! They have an Orchard, so we helped them out with their Orchard all day Saturday!     -We got the Opportunity to eat at Lone Spur Cafe today, which is the best place in the world if you ever get the chance to go! A member of the mission presidency owns it and feeds us.     -We got back on the Ping Pong grind this week during our meal breaks so that was super fun     -Robert, the man we baptized my first transfer, blessed the Sacrament for the first time. He is amazing and I am so happy I was able to experience that     -Our Stake Presidency wants to play us in basketball again, so hopefully we can do that again.      Not a ton to report on this week but we have seen a ton of Miracles!     Elder Wilhelmsen     1.Lone Spur 2.Service Project 3.Elder Vela...

Texas Roadhouse

Hey everybody,  This week was a lot of fun! Yesterday Robert, the guy we baptized my first transfer, got the Priesthood! It was super cool to see how much he has grown and progressed. I was able to stand in the circle, which was great!   We also went back to Texas Roadhouse again this week, obviously because of the Rolls. It was pretty good, and turns out the rest of the food they have there is also pretty good.   Also this week, Arizona decided we hadn't had enough so right after the snow melted it snowed again a few nights ago, it was so crazy.    This week I am trying to learn to love the people more so this scripture stood out to me.It is Moroni 8:16 It says, " Behold, I speak with boldness, having a authority from God; and I fear not what man can do; for b perfect c love d casteth out all fear."    This showed me That As I love the people I am serving and teaching, that it will cast out any fears or frustrations.   I don't have a ton of t...

Testimony Meeting

Image
Hey everybody,      Sorry this is late, P day is Tuesday this week because of transfers!     This week has been super awesome and busy. I wanted to start this off with a cool experience that happened to me. At church on Sunday it was a testimony meeting. When I walked into the chapel, I got a strong impression that I needed to bare my testimony. I didn't know why, or what I was going to say, but I knew I was supposed to. For those that know me well, or if you happened to make it to my farewell talk, you know that I don't like public speaking. Anyways, I knew that I needed to bare my testimony. I went up there and talked about my Great Aunt that I was close to that died a few weeks ago, and how I know that I will see her again and that I am so thankful for an eternal perspective through Jesus Christ. I don't cry a lot usually, but I started the second I opened my mouth. After the meeting, a member headed straight for me, and so I thought I said something wrong. S...

Hey everybody,      This week has been fantastic! First off let me explain the title. This is my companion Elder Chandlers first name. I finally was able to pronounce it this week so I was pretty proud of myself. He also taught me how to say "He pua u'i 'oe" in Hawaiian which means "you are a pretty flower", so I guess I've got game if I ever go to Hawaii hahaha jk.     Tuesday this week we weren't allowed to drive, so we spent all day Tuesday walking up and down the street shoveling whoever's driveway or cars needed it. It was nice to be able to get out and serve, even if it wasn't our area. We met a ton of great people, and I found out that shoveling in knee deep snow in basketball shoes isn't ideal haha.      Something hilarious that happened this week was that we were at a members house and when closing, instead of saying "in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen" I accidentally said "In the name of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day ...
