Hammocking All Day

Image
Hey everyone,     It's been a pretty packed week this week, but a lot of fun things happened! On Monday we played the stake presidency in basketball and destroyed like I said last week. We then ended up going to taco bell 3 times that day! I felt so sick afterwards and vowed never to do it again.     On Tuesday, we had zone conference. It was a really spiritual day because we were learning so much with everything we did. Also we started saying a prayer before we would start trying to find people on Facebook. I had joined a bunch of groups and posted things in there about contacting us if they wanted to learn more about the gospel. That day I got a message from someone wanting to learn more from Kenya, Africa. We are going to try to teach him over zoom and see how that goes. It gave me such a testimony of the power of prayer in our lives.     Wednesday was a weird day, it started with seeing a crazy car crash on the side of the road. I'll attach pictures bel...

Turtles

Hey everybody, this week was a great week. We did 16 hours of service/yard work this week so it's been pretty tiring. Wednesday we did service for a lady and we got people from the ward to help. The lady had a turtle that was just walking around the yard and I could have sat and watched it for hours without getting bored. I now want a turtle super badly.     The stake presidency challenged us to 3 on 3 basketball so me and 2 other elders made a team. We had to be there starting at 6, so I have never been more tired hahaha. We played for a while and we won 7 games to 2. We played great and they now want a rematch. We play a ton of basketball so I got nothing to complain about!     The people we're teaching are progressing super well which is nice. I am trying to love the people I teach so I can better help them. It was cool that I was able to feel the love that God has for some of them this week and be able to testify to them of that love. It's hard sometimes being ar...

I Made It!

Hey everybody,     I got to Arizona this week and a lot has happened.     On Tuesday we got to Arizona and went to have a huge dinner at the church right by the Arizona temple. It was so awesome and we met President and Sister Eyre. They are so cool! President Eyre is so cool to talk to because you can just feel that his spirit is so strong. Sister Eyre is like our mom out here and keeps asking if we are doing alright and need anything. There was 32 missionaries that came into the Phoenix mission on Tuesday so we had to stay in a hotel.     Wednesday we went to trainer/trainee orientation and it was awesome. I met my trainer, Elder McGuire and he is awesome. He's been out here for 21 months so I guess you could say he knows what he's doing hahaha. The whole day was basically training and driving up to our area. We are in the Prescott area which is super nice because it's cooler than the valley. The climate is like Boise so that was a blessing. We taught our...
