Zone Conference

Image
Hey everyone, it was such a great week! First off, Joshua who is on date for March 19th is honestly just the best. I was talking to him before sacrament meeting, and he asked, "Do you guys need help finding people to teach?" After asking what he meant, he said, "I've got a lot of friends that I've been thinking of that I want you to start teaching"! As he has seen himself changing for the better he wants his friends to as well. That is the most prime example of how as we experience the effects of the Atonement of Christ in our lives, we increase in our desire to share it. We dropped by our friend Amos and he was so drunk. Not going to lie, we got pretty bold with him. He ended up urinating in the middle of the street, and then fell between two cars. It got out of hand, and we had to call an ambulance to come get him. Unfortunately, here it takes 4-8 hours for an ambulance to come, so we had to lock him in his house, until they could come get him. He got the ...

Storm Eunice

Image
Hey everyone,  This week has been so good! There is a storm called Storm Eunice passing through the UK this week. We didn't get the worst of it since we aren't on the coast, but the wind and rain have still been a ton! In some places, the wind was anywhere from 60mph-100mph. Because it was anticipated to be so bad, on Friday the entire mission had to stay indoors. It reminded me of the days locked down in Covid, but we were still able to get a lot done. Yesterday we had some lessons fall through so we went tracting. I guess the Storm hadn't completely passed, because it rained so hard. The amazing thing about Welsh rain is that it never falls vertically, it's always horizontal or diagonal because of the wind. Being the smart person I am, I forgot my raincoat in Bristol when I left, so the only thing I had was a puff jacket that was not waterproof. We were out there for 2 hours, and even my shirt underneath was completely soaked. It was a lot of fun though, and we talked...

4 Wrecks!

Image
This week has been good, just crazy as usual! So this week as I have been the vehicle coordinator, there have been 4 car wrecks in the Mission. I was talking to the actual vehicle coordinator on the phone while he was home, and he said before this week there has been one car wreck since he got to the Mission... Last March. On Friday, they finally returned back and now we are back to our usual work. The whole experience has been so cool, because it's been  awesome to see that this really is the Lord's work. We saw 2 major miracles, and it was because the Lord knows our situation, and he knows how much limited time we have to work in our area, so he puts people in our path during that limited time.  The First one was on Sunday, but it needs some explaining. About a month ago, we went to a Chippy (restaurant) with a member, and while we were there a random guy came up and told us his name was Jeff, and that we had called him. We definitely hadn't, so we forgot all about it. On...
