Storm Eunice
Hey everyone,
This week has been so good!
There is a storm called Storm Eunice passing through the UK this week. We didn't get the worst of it since we aren't on the coast, but the wind and rain have still been a ton! In some places, the wind was anywhere from 60mph-100mph.
Because it was anticipated to be so bad, on Friday the entire mission had to stay indoors. It reminded me of the days locked down in Covid, but we were still able to get a lot done.
Yesterday we had some lessons fall through so we went tracting. I guess the Storm hadn't completely passed, because it rained so hard. The amazing thing about Welsh rain is that it never falls vertically, it's always horizontal or diagonal because of the wind. Being the smart person I am, I forgot my raincoat in Bristol when I left, so the only thing I had was a puff jacket that was not waterproof. We were out there for 2 hours, and even my shirt underneath was completely soaked. It was a lot of fun though, and we talked to a lot of people
Also yesterday we had a huge miracle. On Friday we had a lesson with our friend Josh, and we invited him to Pray about a date for Baptism. We have been praying as well, and we really felt like March 19th was a good date. At church before the service started, I was sitting next to him talking about his week and he said, "By the way, I prayed about Baptism. It was weird, because I barely even started to pray, and it was just given to me. I was told that I need to be baptized about a month from now". It was so cool, and the ward has completely embraced him as well.
Anyway, it has been great out here, hope everyone has a great week!
