Hour And A Half

Image
Hey Everyone, this week thank goodness was not nearly as crazy as the last few weeks but still pretty packed. On Tuesday we had our last zone conference. It has been such a blessing to be at all of those and to learn so much. The Gallachers gave almost the exact same training every time but I got something different out of it each time. Something funny this week that actually wasn't funny at all was that within my first few days of being the vehicle coordinator, 2 people got in car accidents. The thing is, everyone then looks to me to know what to do.We are out at Zone Conference trying to file an accident report, and I don't know where to find the VIN number or whatever it's called, it was a big learning curve. On Thursday we drove 2 hours to minehead to help some missionaries move to a new flat. It was a lot of fun, and it took almost the whole day. Luckily, there just happened to be a Taco Bell down there which is rare, so we were losing money if we didn't go get som...

Changing A Tire With A Fork

Image
Hey everyone, if you can believe it, this week was even busier than last week. We had two zone conferences this past week, one in Exeter and one in Cardiff. On Tuesday morning while in Exeter, we found out the mother of the senior couple in the office died and that they were leaving back home for two weeks. Coincidentally, we were asked to take over for them for that time... on top of what we are already doing, it's gonna be a blast. Let's just say I've had to start personal Study at 10:30pm almost every night because that's the only time I can fit it in. When we were in Cardiff we had to move some sisters to a new flat, and completely furnish their old flat, at the times we weren't doing tech set up. As we were heading to the chapel to do the technology, the front passenger tire started spewing out air and was going flat. We booked it back to the chapel before it was completely gone. This was stressful because we hadn't made it to Costco or Subway to get lunch ...

4 DAYS

Image
On Monday at about 4pm we were in our office meeting with President, when he informed us that we were going to both Zone Conferences that week. Normally that wouldn't be a problem, except that Northampton and Coventry are 3 hours away, and we had to go up that night. And then also a drive to Birmingham (pronounced-Bum-ming-um) and Lichfield. After the meeting we threw all of our tech stuff in the van, threw together enough clothes for the next 4 days, and drove up North. What a way to start the week! Zone Conferences were so much fun! It was really cool to see how in tune President and Sister Gallacher are with the spirit. They gave the same training at both Zone Conferences, but slightly different depending on the needs of the zones. It was cool because I got two completely different things from both. Also for those of you who have read my emails in the past know that I'm pretty close with an Elder from Italy that I served around in Wales. Well when we found out we were going ...

WILD WEEK

Image
Hey everyone, this has been one of the most wild weeks so far! There are some missionaries that got an eviction notice in the Mail, and so we had to move those 4 into another flat that sisters were in, while moving those sisters into a new flat as well. All of this was happening 2 1/2 hours North of where we live. We drove up early Monday morning, and simply built furniture the entire day. We stayed overnight at the Elders flat, and then as soon as 6:30am hit, we were up moving and building again. It was pretty wild.  Also last week we found out that someone tested positive at transfers for Covid. 2 out of 3 of the AP's are not vaccinated, so they had an automated 10 days of Quarantine and just got out. It has made our job a whole lot more difficult, but there have been some cool miracles to really show us this is the Lord's work. On Friday we had MLC, and that was also wild. While we were up in Birmingham helping people move flats they decided to change the Location of MLC. We...

ALL ALONE

Image
Hey Everyone, this has been a crazy week with transfers! We were in charge of all the travel for it, which was so messy. It's been crazy busy so this may be short. On Wednesday we were driving all of the departing missionaries to the hotel, and I was locking up the gates as the vans came through, one with luggage and one with the Missionaries. Apparently both sets thought I was going with the other, so I ended up being left in Bristol at night in the dark past 2pm. It was weird. It started raining and I didn't have my raincoat, in my suit. I had to walk back to the flat that was about a mile away, so I got soaked. It was funny. The coolest thing these past few weeks have been how much our Mission President has been teaching us and the AP's. Every time he teaches us a principle he says, "I want to teach you this in a way that you can apply this when you get home". It's been sweet. Actively using my agency to choose the Savior has brought HIS power even stronger...
