Testimony Meeting
Hey everybody,
Sorry this is late, P day is Tuesday this week because of transfers!
This week has been super awesome and busy. I wanted to start this off with a cool experience that happened to me. At church on Sunday it was a testimony meeting. When I walked into the chapel, I got a strong impression that I needed to bare my testimony. I didn't know why, or what I was going to say, but I knew I was supposed to. For those that know me well, or if you happened to make it to my farewell talk, you know that I don't like public speaking. Anyways, I knew that I needed to bare my testimony. I went up there and talked about my Great Aunt that I was close to that died a few weeks ago, and how I know that I will see her again and that I am so thankful for an eternal perspective through Jesus Christ. I don't cry a lot usually, but I started the second I opened my mouth. After the meeting, a member headed straight for me, and so I thought I said something wrong. She came up to me and told me that her husband had just recently lost a son from his previous marriage, and that my testimony was exactly what he needed to hear and touched his heart. It was such a cool experience.
Another pretty cool thing is that my companion Elder Kuponokeali'ihanohanookalani Chandler has been teaching me how to play the Ukulele. That has been a blast.
Transfers are this week and Elder Stoker is leaving. It's sad because he was the one I did the most with in quarantine. You don't really know someone until you're locked inside a room with them for 20 days, and have to take someone to the hospital.
We were at a members house this week for dinner, and they had a new foreign exchange student named Hun from Taiwan. It was hard to understand him but It sounds like he is having a blast here in the United states.
Not a ton of super interesting stories this week but I am doing great! Thanks everyone for the emails!
