Not My Companion

This week has been so hectic but so powerful! If you don't read the whole Email, READ THE LAST PARAGRAPH!!!

On Tuesday we ended up street Contacting most of the day. We were able to find 4 new friends which was pretty awesome.

On Wednesday I went out to Newcastle Emlyn for an exchange with Elder Matheson. There were probably 20 different people that told us that they would not believe the Book of Mormon was true, even if God came down and told them it was. Also, some Jehovah Witnesses bashed us pretty hard. It was a fun day. 

We had Zone Conference and exchanges with the AP's. I was with Elder Kintner, who I used to live with in Bristol. It was a lot of fun catching up. At one point we went to a lady's house for a lesson, and it was a flat above a shop. It was one of those that you walk into the door, and then there are 2 different flats inside. We walked in, and at first thought we were standing in someone's living room. Thankfully we were not breaking in.

My companion is in a concert down in Southern England for the whole weekend, so straight after those exchanges, I went to be with one of the missionaries in Cardiff, whose companion is also in the Concert. The first day, while in Merthyr, we were knocking doors and this one lady said no at first, but as we kept asking her questions and testifying, she felt the spirit and softened. She said her husband would want to listen, and after teaching both of them, they said she would come to church. She finished by saying, "I just want to give both of you a hug".

Lastly, the highlight of the week. Saturday Elder Pratt and I went to his area in Cardiff for the day. We taught this lady named Elisabeth from Portugal. We taught the whole Restoration. Taught specifically about the Holy Ghost before so she would recognize it. As we recited the first vision, we locked eyes the entire time, and afterwards we remained making eye contact, but didn't say a word for probably 20-30 seconds. The spirit filled the room so powerful. At the very end when talking about prayer and the Holy Ghost, we said, "Elisabeth, the Lord responds when we ask in Faith. We would like to invite you to close this lesson by offering the prayer, and asking God if what we have taught you today is true. Will you offer that for us?" She did, and about halfway through she asked sincerely, and just started Sobbing. The spirit was so tangible. She now has a Baptismal Date for April 30th. It was amazing. At the end, she said, "Are you Angels? You look and when you talk it sounds like Angels are speaking."
