BATH
Hey Everyone,
These past two weeks have been crazy but so good! Last week on P day we went to Bath, the City we were serving in, and walked around downtown Bath. Now let me tell you, this is what someone means by the City of Gold. It was such a cool place. I don't think I've been to a cooler city yet.
Last night, we were out finding in our new Area of Downend. It was so sketchy at night. We were walking downtown and all of the sudden as soon as this guy sees us, he starts sprinting towards us. My first thought was that this is how I was going to die. Fortunately, he ran right past us and was just trying to catch a bus.
Not a ton else that was super exciting from this week, but something from my Studies. Something I have done in the past is read Enos everyday for a week, or month, and get something different out of it each time. Two Principles I learned from it recently was the Principle of never leaving a personal Prayer unchanged and our wrestle during prayer. We know that repentance is change, and that Enos Prayed all Day and Night. It took him that long for his heart to fully change. Enos was not going to leave his prayer unchanged. While it doesn't have to be all day and night and is more about sincerity than length, we should never leave a prayer unchanged. As I have applied that to my prayers, it has changed me! I would invite all of you to do that
The other one was our wrestle during prayer. Enos talks about his struggle before God, and it made me think of when I am praying and I have the choice to pray sincerely, or think about how much I want to go to bed or do something else. I Also thought about how we struggle with our will to align it with God's will. I am continuing to study that one. Those two Principles guiding me through my prayers have helped me so much!
Hope everyone had a great week!
