SWANSEA
This week was so busy but it was so good!
Interviews were this week which was great. President Gallacher is pretty awesome. I am honestly so thankful for both of the Mission Presidents that I have had so far. President Eyre changed my life, and President Gallacher is doing the same.
On Wednesday I was able to do exchanges with an Elder in my District. We had a super cool miracle. We had walked an hour to a lesson with a returning member at night. Afterwards we prayed about where the Lord needed us next. We felt like we needed to go to a returning member's home not too far away. She wasn't home, but on the way back I felt super prompted to go knock on a random door. We knocked and as it turns out, it was the house of a less active member, and the rest of the family weren't members. The dad wouldn't let us in for a message but once we got talking he offered us a lift back to our flat. We got to know him a lot better and now we may be able to go back and share a message!
On Saturday we went to the Coastal city of Swansea and did some finding as a District. It was honestly refreshing to be able to go to a bigger city. A few set up a stand and the rest of us went out and did street contacting. We were able to meet a lot of nice people, and some that bashed us out of our minds. We had to get there by train since we don't have a car, so we had a fun little 2 1/2 hour train ride. Afterwards we discovered a Taco Bell in the Town Centre. Obviously we had to go, since it's only one of a few in the UK.
Lastly it was remembrance Sunday so we helped with the community. Some of the buildings for the Church of Wales are so old it's crazy! Also it was Elder Jaccod's birthday, the one from Italy. I told him I was going to attempt making him some pasta, and he didn't think it was very funny. If you joke about putting chicken in Pesto pasta, or about Pasta in General, he takes it very seriously, because "It's an abomination". Him and I are good friends though, so it's pretty fun
Anyway, it was a great week as always. I find out this afternoon whether or not I am staying here in Merthyr.
