Hearts Softened

Hey Everyone, 

 

 

So in the past, we had quite a few people give us Anti-church literature, or bring it up in lessons and I had found myself almost trying to prove or convince the people we were teaching that it was true. As I was studying I learned something key. Between Matthew 7:29, and Jacob 7, and 2 Nephi 33:1 the spirit taught me something great. When you have the Authority, and teach with the Authority of Man, you try to convince others with your words. When you have Authority from God, you Teach Simple truths and testify, and "the power of the Holy Ghost carrieth it unto the hearts". So I stopped trying to convince, and left that to the spirit. It's been awesome!

 

 

Going off that, we had a ton of cool Miracles this week! First off we were tracting on Friday, and we knocked on this one ladies door. One thing we have been doing, is not thinking of what we are going to say when they open the door to let the spirit guide. She opened the door, and I introduced us and said we share messages about Jesus Christ, and asked her if she is religious. She immediately got super aggressive and talked about how she is spiritual but that all religion is bad and restricting. We kept talking to her, and just simply asked questions, taught simple truths, and testified. As we did so, we watched her heart soften right before us. She went from being super aggressive and yelling a little, to almost in tears as she felt the peace of the Holy Ghost Testifying of truth. She agreed to learn more and was actually able to watch church as well! The Spirit of God is so Powerful

 

 

This week also was tough because of someone we were teaching named Sharmalee. We have been teaching her for a few weeks and she was progressing toward Baptism very quickly. The lesson that we were going to set a date for Baptism, she informed us about where she lives, and it is outside our Boundaries. Its sad we won't be able to teach her anymore, but we are also just so happy at the progress she has made and that she is coming closer to Jesus Christ!

 

 

Other than that, not a ton is happening. Getting a ton of rejection knocking doors, but loving every second of it. The Miracles that we are seeing have been amazing, this truly is the Lord's work!
