Monsoons

Hey Everyone, This was another great week!

 

 

Gabby got Baptized! I was able to baptize her. It has been amazing to see her faith, as she was given Anti-church literature, and had family try to convince her not to join the church. She truly was prepared by the Lord, I am just happy I was able to be along for the ride. Elder Pope was able to come back for it, so I was able to see him again.

 

 

We also experienced a dust storm(called a haboob) this week, and a monsoon in the same night. It knocked out the power at the house we had dinner at!

 

 

We also have 2 others on date to be baptized this month. Steve, and Nancy. They are both amazing and we are excited for them!

 

 

Super cool miracle this week! We were going to zone conference, and the car wouldn't start. We tried like 20 times, but nothing happened. We ended up calling 4 other missionaries to try to get a ride for us and our roommates. Once we had a ride lined up we were about to go inside, but we decided to pray with Faith that the car would start working. Wouldn't you know it, it started as we finished praying. Little things everyday truly show that is the Lords work!

 

 

I have to say, I love the Book of Mormon. As I read the Book of Mormon with a good specific question in mind, I always get an answer. One thing I realized though, is that I will only get an answer according to the heed and diligence I give to it. In Alma 12:9 it says, 

 

 

"9 And now Alma began to expound these things unto him, saying: It is given unto many to know the mysteries of God; nevertheless they are laid under a strict command that they shall not impart only according to the portion of his word which he doth grant unto the children of men, according to the heed and diligence which they give unto him."

 

 

I know this to be true. When I come to the Scriptures ready to learn, the words always sink deep into my heart. I love the savior, and love serving a mission. It truly is the greatest thing I've ever done. I know that the Savior works miracles in my life, can work miracles in yours. But, he can only work miracles, according to your faith.
