It's HOT!

Hey everyone,

 

 

This week was wild but it was a great one. This is late because we have transfers this week. I will be training a new missionary that I will be meeting tomorrow morning!

 

 

Gabby, who we started teaching a week and a half ago, is on date to be baptized July 3rd! We are so excited for her, and she is so solid! She has definitely been prepared to receive the gospel!

 

 

So this week was really interesting for two reasons. The first one, was that we are teaching someone that leads worship at another church. He is a nice guy, but as soon as the lesson started he proceeded to bash us and our beliefs. It was a really interesting experience.

 

 

The Second one was that we also started teaching someone named Jeremiah. He seemed super interested, and even came to church. He joined one of our lessons with Gabby (The one on date), and took notes the whole time. After the lesson, he stayed to talk to Gabby outside, while we left for other appointments. Gabby texted us the next morning, and told us that he sat there and talked for an hour about how we are a cult and are misled. He proceeded to give her a pamphlet of anti-church literature. We had scheduled to meet him the next day, and when he did, he bashed and then gave us an anti-church pamphlet. I didn't say a single thing during the entire lesson, because the moment he pulled out his Scriptures, the spirit prompted that no matter what I said, he wasn't going to accept the answer.

 

 

Honestly, after these two experiences, I am just so thankful for my testimony of the restored gospel. Those experiences could have easily shaken someone's testimony, but I walked away with my testimony strengthened. I am so grateful for the gift of the Holy Ghost to guide me through those situations.

 

 

On the bright side, I will have the opportunity to go do Baptisms for the dead with our YSA branch on Friday. It is going to be such a great experience!
