Lyle's Baptism

Hey everyone, this was a great week!

Yesterday was a wild day. Lyle was able to get baptized! I know I don't talk about the people we are teaching a lot in my emails, but we have been teaching him for a little bit, put him on date and he is now baptized. It was super cool to see how happy he was, and how clean he felt.

Also last night, our mission president told us that we can now street contact and go tracting. If we are fully vaccinated, we don't have to wear masks except in a few places. I get my second shot on the 20th, so I'm excited for that. It also means I can play basketball with the YSA and use it as a way to find people!

We had a cool little miracle this week. We had a lesson with someone we are teaching from the Philippines. Her name is Malou! We had a really spiritual lesson with her, and she is going to read the book of Mormon. It was an hour and 6 minute lesson, and when we got off a box popped up that said, "sorry for the inconvenience! If you want your zoom meeting to last longer than 40 minutes, upgrade now." Somehow it had stayed on almost 30 minutes longer than it was supposed to. It was awesome.

This week was also hard because we are teaching someone named Kristin. On Thursday we went by and talked to her, and we asked her how she feels when we come over. It led to talking about her interest in the church and she was loving everything she was learning. She said we could start meeting twice a week, and she wanted to be baptized in a few weeks. We were so happy for her, and then the next day she texted us and said she didn't feel like the church was right for her. :(  It's alright though, she has her agency! The same agency I have to choose to be on a mission.

Not a lot else happened this week, but it was a fantastic week!
