Quarantine Another 10 Days

Hey everyone, sorry I forgot to write last week, I was just too busy (you'll see why that's a joke in a second)

 

 

Last email I said that I was flip training. Well the day before transfers I started getting covid symptoms, so we called president and had to go into quarantine. I tested Positive the next morning so that is an automatic 10 days we can't leave. This past Friday was supposed to be our first day out, but then we had to take Elder Nielson to the ER because he had breathing problems. Now he is hooked up to an oxygen machine and looks like an 80 year old hahaha. We made him a homemade hospital bed, seen in the pictures below. Unfortunately, that also means we have to be in quarantine another 10 days.

 

 

To sum it all up, my companion I'm supposed to be training is still down in the valley and I wont get to meet him in person until exactly halfway through the transfer!

 

 

Despite these setbacks I'm doing really good! I was asked to give a discussion on Finding people on Facebook in a meeting in front of our whole zone which was good.

 

 

This upcoming week in quarantine we have some good stuff coming up. 2 people from Facebook have agreed to hear a message about Jesus Christ, 3 Less active members agreed to hear a message, and 1 Part member family.

The Lord is so great, and we have been able to see so many tender Mercies here while in quarantine. For example, the first week I was here we called someone that used to be taught, and she cussed us out and was mad and yelling at us the whole time. This past week we called her and she was super nice and we actually started teaching her! It's amazing how the Lord can soften hearts!

 

 

Also one of our windows frosted over before we were leaving the apartment, and one of my companions, Elder Stoker, had an idea to scrape it off with a soda can, so you can see below the effects of that on the window in the picture below.
