Arizona LIED

Hey Everybody,

This has been quite an awesome week. Our P day is today because we had interviews yesterday.

So I'd like to start off this email by saying that Arizona being hot is a hoax hahaha. I know I'm in the mountains but this is crazy. We weren't allowed to drive yesterday or today because we got 3 feet of snow(pictures below). This morning we went out at 7 to help someone shovel their driveway and kept seeing more people that needed help, and we just got back to the apartment just after 2 o'clock. It was awesome to be able to get out today and help people.

3 of the people we helped are super cool. This guy named Jermaine is from Milwaukee. You won't be able to tell from the pic but he has cornrows/dreads and turns out that he loves basketball. They want all of us to go out to eat with them sometime, and Jermaine asked me if we can play basketball soon.

Another thing about snow this week is that my New Companion that is from Hawaii got up here, and saw snow for the first time in his life. I love Elder Chandler, we have the same sense of humor, and seeing him see snow for the first time was so cool. There's a picture below that shows the moment. Of course his first experience had to be 3 feet of it haha. Last night we put on some layers and walked half a mile through knee high snow down to a gas station to get some Polar Pops(soda).

It was so nice to be able to go back to church in person after 3 weeks of not being able to! A super cool experience we had this week was that there was a lady we tried teaching in the past that wasn't very interested and had some medical issues that got in the way. She is good friends with a member in our ward. We got a text on Friday night from the member of our ward that said, "Marjorie needs a blessing as soon as possible". We dropped what we were doing and went right over. We gave here a blessing and she started sobbing. She said that she had been praying for us to be available tonight, and us coming was an answer to her prayers. She also said she felt God's love for her so strongly. It was a super cool experience!

Another thing that happened this week was a member in the ward bought us a $40 pizza from a gourmet Pizza place called "Two mamas pizza". It was delicious.

I don't have a ton of time to include more from this week cause we have to go try and help more people shovel, but I am doing super well and thanks everyone for the emails sent. They mean a lot
