It Is What It Is

Hey everyone,

This has been a super spiritual week, so I will condense it as much as I can. It started out with transfers. Everyone In our apartment stayed except Elder Winters. I'm sad Elder Winters left cause I made a lifelong friend in him, but it is what it is.

We had a lesson with a lady we've been teaching for sometime but we weren't able to have a lesson with her the last few weeks because she had back problems and back surgery. She was struggling to understand how the spirit feels, so we asked her how she felt when we gave her a blessing, and explained it to her. It was such an awesome lesson and the spirit was so strong.

On Friday we had 2 amazing opportunities to hear from apostles. First President Nelson gave an amazing message on hope and healing. It made me think about all the things I've been blessed with in my life! As if that wasn't already enough, Elder Renlund of the quorum of the twelve apostles and his wife did a zoom meeting with our mission. It was such a cool experience to ask an apostle questions.

Of course when we did weekly planning we did it in our hammocks because it's impossible to do it without hahaha.

Sunday was great. We had a lesson with Kaycee and Gina who we started teaching a week after we got here. We asked them to be baptized and they both happily said yes. So they will be baptized on the 19th of December. I am so happy for them, and love them so much!

We also listened/read a talk called, "judge not, that ye be not judged" by N Eldin Tanner for companionship study to work on charity. Let me tell you, it's quite the experience to sit and listen to a general authority from 1972 roast you for 15 straight minutes on not judging others! Just kidding, but it was an amazing talk. I would listen to it if you would like to gain better Christlike love. It changed the way I view other people and humbled me quite a bit.

Thanks everyone for the emails, they are greatly appreciated!

Sincerely

Elder Wilhelmsen
